Women
Who Were First: Stories of Modern Day Pioneers
Inspire You To Blaze
New Trails In Your Own Life

In this speech, based on her upcoming book, Women Who Were First: Stories of Modern Day Pioneers Inspire You To Blaze New Trails In Your Own Life, Myra uses both personal antidotes and stories from interviews with modern day trailblazers to inspire readers to push beyond the boundaries they face in their own lives.Today there are more successful, high-profile women than ever before, yet many females still feel restricted in achieving their dreams. Myra shares inspirational stories from her interviews of women who were “the first woman” in diverse array of accomplishments as well as lessons she learned in her journey toward writing and publishing.
Politicians, corporate executives, bricklayers, construction workers,
doctors, lawyers, engineers and business owners have shared their
stories about their accomplishments, struggles, pivotal points
in their lives and their advice for others.
Your group will be inspired and encouraged by hearing what these
women have shared about success, fear, failure, maintaining a sense
of humor, balancing work and family, mentoring and about relying
on your intuition and following your passion. The general message
of the talk and the points illustrated are customized for each
audience and can be designed to align with a conference theme.
Men in the audience will be inspired by hearing about the impact “Hero
Husbands,” “Fabulous Fathers,” and “Marvelous
Male Mentors” had on the lives of these first women. They
will gain a new appreciation of their important role in the lives
of their daughters, wives, sisters, and female friends. There are
many great “he-roes” in the lives of our modern-day “she-roes!”
This program is excellent for a luncheon speech, a breakout session
or a closing keynote. Myra works with the meeting planner to choose
the right mix of stories and examples to motivate, inspire and
encourage attendees to push beyond the boundaries of the ordinary
to achieve the extraordinary in their lives and in their work.
